A lawsuit has been filed against Gülcan Mutlu Ulusoy, who ran over and injured 12-year-old T.U. with her car while Eren Y. was shooting beads at him with a bead gun while playing on the street, with a request for up to 20 years in prison. The incident occurred on August 11, in the Kitirler neighborhood of Gerede district. According to the allegations; while playing on the street, Eren Y. shot beads at T.U. with a bead gun. T.U., who went home crying, told his mother Gülcan Mutlu Ulusoy about the situation. Angered by the incident, mother Ulusoy ran over Eren Y., who was riding a bicycle on the street, with her car. Eren Y., who was trapped under the car, was injured, and the child, who was taken to the hospital by the health teams dispatched to the address upon notification, was treated. After the incident, Gülcan Mutlu Ulusoy was detained; the moments when she ran over the child with her vehicle were captured by security cameras. After her procedures at the Gerede Police Department, Ulusoy was placed under house arrest. Eren Y. was discharged after his treatment in the hospital. "I Drove Close to Them to Warn"In her statement to the prosecutor's office, Gülcan Mutlu Ulusoy claimed that she did not intentionally run over Eren Y. and stated that she went to talk to the child's mother, saying, "I saw Eren Y. and his friend on the road. I drove close to them to warn them. However, I didn't realize how it happened when the children moved. After hitting the child, I stopped immediately. I did not do it intentionally or willingly. It was completely an accident," she defended herself. The Gerede Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit against Gülcan Mutlu Ulusoy for the crime of 'attempting to intentionally kill a child who cannot defend themselves,' with a request for up to 20 years in prison. Ulusoy will appear before a judge on a date to be determined as part of the case.
