The end seems near for the series Jasmine, which has long been under the scrutiny of RTÜK and has been constantly in the news due to allegations of obscenity. HBO Max Turkey made a radical decision to remove the production from the air on the evening of February 18, Wednesday, following administrative penalties.

Jasmine, which has been the focus of discussions for a long time due to its content and aired on HBO Max, is ending its broadcasting life in Turkey. The production was examined by the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) on the grounds of obscene elements and scenes that do not comply with broadcasting principles, and an administrative penalty was imposed on the platform after the first episodes. The series will be removed from the HBO Max Turkey library as of the evening of February 18, Wednesday.

FAREWELL MESSAGE FROM THE PLATFORM

In a statement made from HBO Max Turkey's social media account, it was announced that the series' adventure in Turkey has come to an end. The post included the phrases, "Although Jasmine will bid farewell to HBO Max Turkey on the evening of February 18, Wednesday, it will continue to open in other lands. We are not sad and we say to us, always Jasmine." The statement revealed that the series will continue its international broadcasting life.

RTÜK HAD IMPOSED A FINE, DISCUSSIONS NEVER CEASED

Since the first day it aired, Jasmine has created a wide public reaction due to its adult content, narrative that challenges social sensitivities, and obscene scenes. After the penalty imposed by RTÜK, the series became one of the most talked-about and criticized productions in Turkey.

PLOT OF THE SERIES

The series revolves around Yasemin's struggle for life as she battles a fatal heart condition. Racing against time to get on the organ transplant list, Yasemin is caught between the hope of survival and emotional and psychological pressures.

At the center of the story are the feelings of her stepbrother Tufan, who is Yasemin's biggest supporter, which cross boundaries and gradually turn into obsession. This relationship drags the two characters into a dark and dead-end web of relationships.

The lead roles in the series are played by Asena Keskinci and Burak Can Aras.
