The fraudsters reached out to citizens with ads for "soap packaging at home," asking victims to pay 500 lira upfront with the promise of sending materials. Subsequently, the amount they requested under the guise of "shipping fees" kept increasing.

Polat, who filed a criminal complaint against the account holders at the prosecutor's office, stated, "I returned to my profession, and as soon as I did, we cracked down on a very large fraud gang and we are dismantling a fraud gang. An investigation has been initiated against them. There is a gang that specifically targets housewives, saying, 'We will package soap at your home, but for security reasons, you need to deposit 500 lira as a down payment.' They particularly say, 'You will work from home, you will deposit 500 lira, and then we will send you the products.' When they send the products, they suddenly demand, 'We sent you the products, the shipping cost is 4 thousand lira, you need to send that too.' You say, but there is no such thing. The moment you say, 'You asked for 500 lira, I can't send 4 thousand lira,' the threats begin. The threats are as follows: 'If you don't send that 4 thousand lira, we will initiate legal action against you, we will send enforcement to your home,' from a fraud gang that speaks in this manner. They have been around for about 2 years, and many people have been victimized. Hundreds, but for some reason, nothing has happened until today," she expressed.
