TRNC President Erhürman announced that in the ongoing efforts regarding the sea accident off the coast of Kyrenia, where 8 people lost their lives and 20 went missing, the wreckage of the sunken ship has been reached. Stating that the TCG Alemdar ship has also been dispatched to the region, Erhürman emphasized that search and imaging activities continue uninterrupted on a 24-hour basis.
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus President Tufan Erhürman made a statement regarding the search and imaging efforts carried out following the maritime disaster off the coast of Girne. Announcing that the wreck of the sunken ship had been reached in the disaster where 20 people are being searched for, Erhürman stated that operations in the region continue uninterrupted.

Stating that TCG Alemdar also joined the search efforts, Erhürman said, “TCG Alemdar has also arrived. It has the same technology as TCG Işın. The ship has been reached. Imaging and search operations continue on a 24-hour basis. They will continue without interruption.”
