The suspect who insulted Prophet Muhammad has been arrested.

In an interview on social media, a person named Z.K. who attacked Islamic values and insulted Prophet Muhammad was detained. The suspect was arrested and sent to prison by the judicial authorities he was referred to.

The Minister of Justice, Yılmaz Tunç, announced that the suspect who shared content insulting Prophet Muhammad on social media has been arrested. Minister Tunç emphasized that those who seek to disrupt the unity of the nation will not be tolerated.

IDENTITY WAS IDENTIFIED AND THEN CAPTURED

The Minister of Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, stated on his social media account that a person named Z.K., who insulted Islamic values and Prophet Muhammad in an interview shared on social media, has been detained for the crime of "inciting or demeaning the people to hatred or enmity". Z.K., whose procedures at the Istanbul police department have been completed, has been transferred to Küçükçekmece Courthouse.

ARRESTED

The Minister of Justice, Yılmaz Tunç, also made a statement regarding the issue on his social media account. Tunç stated that the suspect Z.K. has been arrested by Küçükçekmece Republic Prosecutor's Office within the scope of a criminal investigation initiated for the insulting, vulgar, and provocative expressions about our Beloved Prophet in a video shared on social media, for the crime of "inciting or demeaning the people to hatred or enmity".

Minister Tunç emphasized that the investigation is being carried out meticulously and said, "No one has the right to demean our national and spiritual values. We will never allow anyone to sow discord among our people and disrupt our unity."
