As part of a bribery and corruption investigation targeting the Uşak Municipality, 29 people, including CHP Uşak Provincial Chairman Celalettin Çoban and Uşakspor Club President Özhan Özgöbek, were referred to the judiciary.
In the second wave operation within the scope of the bribery and corruption investigation targeting the Uşak Municipality, 29 people, including CHP Uşak Provincial Chairman Celalettin Çoban and Uşakspor Club President Özhan Özgöbek, who were detained, were referred to the courthouse. The Istanbul Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation on March 27 regarding bribery and corruption allegations against Uşak Municipality, and in the first wave operation, 13 suspects, including Mayor Özkan Yalım, were detained and 9 were arrested. Within the scope of the investigation, a second wave operation was launched on Monday, April 20.
29 PEOPLE GAVE STATEMENTS
Within the scope of the investigation, 29 people, including CHP Uşak Provincial Chairman Celalettin Çoban and Uşakspor Club President Özhan Özgöbek, who were detained, gave statements at the Istanbul Financial Crimes Branch Directorate. The suspects, whose statement procedures were completed today, were sent to the Istanbul Courthouse, where the investigation is being conducted, in the early hours of the morning.
