LIFE-AND-DEATH STRUGGLE IN THE SEA
The incident occurred on August 26 at the beach in the Dereköy area. İbrahim Çakmak, a teacher at Mustafa Erdin Primary School, entered the sea to cool off. Noticing that he began to struggle in the water and was in danger of drowning, nearby citizens quickly intervened and pulled Çakmak out of the water. Upon reporting the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health and security teams were swiftly dispatched to the region.
LOST HIS 8-DAY LIFE STRUGGLE
After initial intervention at the scene, İbrahim Çakmak was taken by ambulance to Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, where he was placed under treatment in the intensive care unit. The teacher, who had been fighting for his life for 8 days, could not be saved and passed away.
Çakmak's lifeless body was taken to the Samsun Forensic Medicine Group Headquarters morgue for autopsy procedures. The investigation into the incident continues.
