A television repairman in Aydın injured the homeowner and his family with a hammer during an argument that broke out while he was repairing their television. The suspect, who tried to escape after smashing the heads of four people, including a child, with a hammer, was captured by the neighborhood residents and handed over to the gendarmerie.
In Aydın, television repairman Mehmet G. injured Hulusi Duran, Nakşiye Duran (60), Hatice G. (37), and Beyza G. (6) with a hammer while repairing at their house. After the incident, Mehmet G., who tried to escape, was caught by the neighborhood residents and handed over to the gendarmerie.
ARGUMENT STARTED AT HOME
The incident took place in a two-story house in Kardeşköy Neighborhood in Nazilli around 20:30. Allegedly, Mehmet G., who is known to be a television repairman, started arguing with Hulusi Duran, whom he went to his house for repair.
NEIGHBORHOOD RESIDENTS GRABBED THE PHONE
As the argument turned into a fight, Mehmet G. injured Hulusi Duran, the homeowner, on the head and chest with a hammer, and hit his wife Nakşiye Duran, his daughter Hatice G., and his 6-year-old granddaughter Beyza G. on the head. Upon the notification of the neighborhood residents who heard the sounds coming from the house, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Meanwhile, Mehmet G., who tried to escape from the house, was caught by the neighborhood residents. The injured were taken to Nazilli State Hospital by ambulance after the initial interventions of the medical teams at the scene.
HIS WIFE AND GRANDDAUGHTER HAD BRAIN HEMORRHAGE
Hulusi Duran, who had fractures in his skull and ribs, was referred to Aydın Adnan Menderes University Hospital, while it was learned that Nakşiye Duran and her granddaughter Beyza G. had brain hemorrhage due to cracks in their skulls, and Hatice G. was in good health. Mehmet G., who was handed over to the gendarmerie by the neighborhood residents, was taken into custody, and an investigation was initiated regarding the incident.
