The 2026 World Cup is set to be the most expensive tournament in history for fans, with ticket prices and additional costs. The opening match starts at $560, while the final can go up to $6,370.
According to a statement from FIFA, the first phase of tickets for the matches to be played next summer has gone on sale, and more than 4.5 million fans participated in the lottery for a chance to purchase tickets, while the second phase of ticket sales will begin on October 27.

It is stated that the ticket prices for the World Cup to be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, along with transportation and accommodation costs, will make it the most expensive tournament in history for fans.
While FIFA has not officially announced a price list, it has been learned that the ticket prices listed by fans who qualified for tickets in the lottery throughout the past week are higher than those of previous World Cup events.
CHEAPEST IS 2,030, MOST EXPENSIVE IS 6,370 DOLLARS
Ticket prices are set in four different categories, with tickets for the first match in the USA ranging from 560 dollars to 2,235 dollars. In the last World Cup in Qatar, the price of the opening match ranged from 55 dollars to 618 dollars. Additionally, the cheapest ticket for the final of the 2026 World Cup to be held in the USA is 2,030 dollars, while the most expensive ticket is sold for 6,370 dollars.
The cheapest ticket for the 2022 final in Qatar was sold for 206 dollars, and the most expensive ticket was sold for 1,607 dollars. The cheapest ticket for the final of the 2026 World Cup in the USA is ten times the price of the cheapest ticket that fans paid for the 2022 final in Qatar.
On the other hand, while Russia and Qatar implemented expedited visa processes for fans during the previous two World Cup events, the USA has not yet taken a similar step to facilitate entry for fans throughout the organization.
