The Flash Haber TV, which was seized as part of an illegal betting operation and transferred to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund, has been put up for sale. The TMSF has set a starting price of 84 million lira for the channel.
According to the statement made by the TMSF, the auction of Flash News TV, owned by Göktuğ Multimedia Publishing Inc., where the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund has been appointed as the trustee, will be conducted using both closed envelope and open auction methods.
APPROXIMATE VALUE 84 MILLION LIRA
Bids can be submitted for the auction, which has been determined to have an approximate value of 84 million lira, until September 16. The auction will take place on September 17 at 14:00 at the TMSF's building in Esentepe. If it is decided to continue with the negotiation method for the auction, the negotiation will be held on September 19 at the same place and time.
WHAT HAPPENED?
As part of an illegal betting operation, Erkan Kork, the owner of Pozitifbank and Flash TV, was detained. Due to this investigation, 23 companies, including Pozitifbank, Payfix, and Flash News, were seized, and the TMSF was appointed as the trustee.
In the illegal betting investigation conducted by the Organized Crimes Investigation Office of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a simultaneous operation was carried out against 59 suspects, including Erkan Kork, the owner of Flash News TV, which is part of BankPozitif Payfix Payment Institution and Göktuğ Multimedia Publishing Inc., resulting in the detention of 43 individuals. The suspects were being investigated for the charges of 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime', 'laundering assets derived from crime', and 'violating Law No. 7258 on the Regulation of Betting and Gambling in Football and Other Sports Competitions'.
