The Ministry of Trade has made a radical decision regarding a toy that threatens children's health and poses a life-threatening danger. Citing the risks of suffocation and injury, the Ministry completely banned the product from being placed on the market and ordered the immediate recall of toys on sale.

The Ministry of Trade has issued a safety warning about the toy called “Pool Duck Fishing Rod,” which children use during play. The sale of the product, which has been determined to pose a choking risk due to its small parts and cord length, has been banned, and it has been decided that the examples on the market will also be recalled.

Another toy that attracts children's attention has failed safety inspections. As a result of its examinations, the Ministry of Trade banned the placing on the market of a toy determined to pose a danger to children. A recall decision was also taken for the examples of the product available on the market.

SMALL PARTS AND CORD LENGTH POSE A RISK

According to the notice published in the Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS), the toy called “Pool Duck Fishing Rod” did not meet safety standards. It was determined that the product with model number HL-3004 did not comply with the relevant standards in terms of its physical and mechanical properties.

In the Ministry's statement, it was stated that the toy poses a choking risk due to small parts and cord length. It was noted that the product does not provide the safety conditions suitable for children's use.

ITS SALE HAS BEEN BANNED, PRODUCTS ON THE MARKET WILL BE RECALLED

Following the evaluations, a measure was taken to ban the placing on the market of the toy and to recall the products available on the market.

The decision taken on October 21, 2026, was published on November 5 through the Unsafe Product Information System. Thus, it was aimed to prevent the sale of the product that could threaten children's safety and to recall its examples on the market.
