The first session of the trial, which will last for 5 days, continues on its second day. In the first hearing held at the 21st Heavy Penal Court of Bakırköy Courthouse, 22 detained defendants, 19 non-detained defendants, and the lawyers of the parties were present. Some non-detained defendants participated via the Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBİS) from the courthouses in their respective cities.

After the statement of Nurse Hasan Basri Gök, it was time for Nurse Deniz Korkmaz. Korkmaz began her speech by saying that she has been working in the neonatal intensive care unit for 7 years. Korkmaz's reference to the famous lines from "Kurtlar Vadisi" drew attention during the trial. The presiding judge asked, "You said, 'Stealing from the state is more honorable than stealing from the people.' Why did you say that?" Korkmaz replied, "Yes, I said it.
