On March 5, while entering Iran with 15 Turkish trucks, including his father Coşkun Firat, Hussein Firat's vehicle was hit by a missile fired from Israel. His truck, which was attacked while passing through Qazvin province and heading towards Zanjan city, caught fire. Hussein Firat, who was rescued from the truck with injuries, passed away on March 12 at Zanjan Hospital. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs intervened to bring Firat's body back to his hometown.
