The Turkish Football Federation has made changes to the 12+2 foreign player rule that will be in effect for the 2025-2026 season. The previous requirement for at least 2 players to be born on or after January 1, 2003 has been updated.

CHANGE IN THE 12+2 FOREIGN PLAYER RULE

With the decision taken at the TFF Board of Directors meeting on 07.07.2025, numbered 46, changes were made to the Regulations on the Status and Transfers of Professional Football Players, the Club Licensing and Financial Sustainability Regulations, the Regulations of the Super League Matches for the 2025-2026 Season, and the Regulations of the TFF 1st League Matches for the 2025-2026 Season.

The TFF has made changes to the 12+2 foreign player rule, which will be valid in the 2025/26 season. Previously, the requirement for at least 2 players to be born on or after 01.01.2003 has been updated to at least those born in 2002.
