The decision regarding the Turkish Grand National Assembly's entry into recess has been published in the Official Gazette. The assembly, which most recently approved the framework law in a historic session, will remain closed until October 1.

The decision regarding the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) entering its recess was published in the Official Gazette.

IT WILL REMAIN CLOSED FOR 52 DAYS 

According to the TBMM decision published in the Official Gazette, the Assembly will go into recess starting Monday, August 10, and will convene on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 14:00. The decision to send the Assembly into a 52-day recess was made at the 125th session of the General Assembly dated August 10.

The Assembly most recently, in its historic session dated August 11, accepted the Draft Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion, prepared within the scope of the "Terror-Free Turkey" process.
