Israel launched a series of attacks on various targets, including the international airport located in the capital of Yemen. Tedros, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), found himself caught in the midst of the airport attack.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, reported that one member of the crew of the plane they were about to board was injured in the attack carried out by the Israeli army on Sana Airport, but the WHO and United Nations (UN) delegations are safe.

Ghebreyesus made a post on his social media account regarding the attack. He stated that their mission, aimed at negotiating the release of UN personnel held in Yemen and assessing the health and humanitarian situation in the country, concluded today. Ghebreyesus reiterated the call for the immediate release of UN personnel held by the Houthis.

ONE CREW MEMBER INJURED

Ghebreyesus said, "About two hours ago, while boarding the plane from Sana, the airport was attacked. One member of our crew was injured. It has been reported that at least 2 people were killed at the airport."
