The footage of 27-year-old Şeyhmus K. assaulting his girlfriend in the middle of the street in İzmir's Karabağlar district became a hot topic. The striking part of the incident was that the young woman went after Şeyhmus K. again. One of the neighborhood residents who heard the noise recorded the moments with a cellphone. In the footage, Şeyhmus K. is seen repeatedly punching the young girl who was kicking and slapping him, and after a brief scuffle with a resident who tried to intervene, he pulled an object from his back pocket.

As the citizen picked up the object that fell to the ground, it was observed that he ran away, while a person approaching them on a motorcycle did not intervene in the incident at all, and another citizen allowed them to leave by touching the assailant's shoulder. Police teams, who started working upon receiving a report, quickly captured the assailant Şeyhmus K.

It was learned that Şeyhmus K., who had numerous criminal cases against him and an arrest warrant, was taken into custody, but regarding the assault incident, the young girl did not file a complaint against the criminal.
