The tea worker in Rize claimed that despite not leaving the province, he was issued numerous HGS fines over the last 3 years for passages on the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the Northern Marmara Highway. The worker learned that the fines came from a truck with the same license plate belonging to another country and had 4 enforcement files closed.
An employee in Rize claimed that although he did not leave the province with his car, his license plate was fined at various times on some bridges and highways for violating the Fast Transit System (HGS).
FINED FOR PLACES HE NEVER WENT TO
In a statement to journalists, Arif Berber, who works as a seasonal worker at a tea factory, claimed that many administrative fines were issued against the license plate of the car registered in his name for crossings on the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the Northern Marmara Highway over the last 3 years.
Berber said that about a year ago he learned via e-Devlet that enforcement proceedings had been initiated against him due to the fines, and said, "The fines are for crossings at the toll booths on the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the Northern Marmara Highway. However, I have not even gone beyond Trabzon."
THE VEHICLE WAS A TRUCK WITH THE SAME LICENSE PLATE FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY
Berber stated that as a result of his investigations, he learned that the vehicle fined at the toll booths was a truck with the same license plate belonging to another country, and noted that after long efforts he was able to get the 4 enforcement files opened against him closed.
Stating that he checks via e-Devlet every day in case a new fine arrives, Berber said, "I have been dealing with this for a year. As a solution, they tell me to change my license plate, but I do not want to change my license plate. I expect a solution and help from the authorities on this matter."
