Yalova Governor Ahmet Hamdi Usta stated that the wreckage of the F-16, which crashed during a training flight, has been reached and necessary precautions have been taken, adding that the accident was one-sided and no collision occurred. Usta reported that the pilot survived and there were no fatalities.
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) reported that an F-16 aircraft belonging to the Air Force Command crashed during a training flight in Yalova, and the pilot ejected and survived.
"OUR PILOT EJECTED AND SURVIVED" In a statement from the Ministry, it was stated, "One of our F-16 aircraft belonging to our Air Force crashed during a training flight in Yalova, and our pilot ejected and survived. The cause of the crash will be determined as a result of a detailed investigation. Respectfully announced to the public."
GOVERNOR USTA: THE WRECKAGE OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS REACHED AND PRECAUTIONS WERE TAKEN Yalova Governor Ahmet Hamdi Usta also conducted inspections at the scene.
Usta, in a statement to journalists after the inspections, said that around 15:00 today, an F-16 aircraft crashed during a training flight right next to the 18th Main Base Command compound within the borders of Çiftlikköy.
Stating that the pilot survived the accident safely, Usta explained that there was no loss of life among any civilian or military personnel at the site of the crash.
Usta noted that teams, primarily AFAD, UMKE, and fire brigades, immediately arrived at the scene, and continued as follows: "Without any fire danger or harm to the surroundings, the wreckage of the aircraft was reached and precautions were taken. The crash investigation team has begun technical work. It will be concluded and announced as soon as possible. The fact that our pilot survived safely and that there was no loss of life or property, whether civilian or military, at the site where the aircraft crashed is gratifying for us. We also pray that God protects our nation from such accidents again."

Usta stated that the aircraft took off from Eskişehir and said, "In our facility here, we have both our Air Force Academy candidates and our Air Force Academy students. They are training here. To encourage them, our aircraft taking off from Eskişehir or Bandırma from time to time conduct training flights here. This incident occurred during that flight."
