I.A., a nurse who was detained and released for participating in the 'braiding' trend that started on social media, announced that she has emptied her home in Istanbul. In a video she shared on her social media account, she stated, "A chapter has closed, I no longer have a home. 6 years of garbage, thank you!"

After a woman affiliated with the terrorist organization YPG/SDG had her hair cut by the Syrian army, members of the DEM Party started a "hair braiding" trend on social media. 

SHE SHARED MOMENTS OF BRAIDING HER HAIR

One of the participants in the trend was nurse I.A., who works at Kocaeli Gebze Fatih State Hospital. I.A. shared moments of braiding her hair on her social media account with the note "Maybe not the same hair, but the same pain, the same feeling" along with a Kurdish song.

SHE SAID SHE REGRETTED IT

After the post, nurse I.A. was detained and stated in her testimony that she regretted it, mentioning that she also had pro-government posts.

I.A., who stated that she is Zaza and does not speak Kurdish, expressed that she did not know the meaning of the song lyrics. After her procedures, the nurse was released, but a travel ban was imposed on her.

SHE VACATED HER HOUSE IN ISTANBUL

After the incident, the suspended nurse announced on her social media account that she had vacated her house in Istanbul. Sharing videos recorded while packing up her house, the young nurse said, “A chapter has closed, I no longer have a home. 6 years of my life are wasted."
