The actor Aydemir Akbaş, who had been experiencing health problems for a while and passed away at the age of 88, was laid to rest.

Akbaş' body was buried in Feriköy Cemetery after the funeral prayer held at Galatasaray High School and the noon prayer at Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque in Levent. Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Cinema General Director Birol Güven, artists İbrahim Tatlıses, Mehmet Ali Erbil, and Şafak Sezer, as well as many people from the culture and art world, attended the funeral prayer.

CHAOS ENSUED DURING TATLISES' ENTRANCE

There was a commotion during the entrance of artist İbrahim Tatlıses, who came to the mosque for the funeral prayer in a wheelchair. The moments were recorded second by second.

Singer Ferman Toprak, in his statement to the press, expressed that they lost one of the biggest figures of the cinema community and said, "May his soul rest in peace."
