In Kahramanmaraş, Sultan and Şeref Kazcı, a couple who had been waiting to have a child for 10 years, became parents to triplets on their first attempt at in vitro fertilization treatment. Overjoyed, the couple also made a reference to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's call for three children, saying, "Allah has granted us not one, but three children."
The couple Sultan and Şeref Kazcı, who underwent treatment at various health centers for years to have a child in Kahramanmaraş, became parents to triplets.
"WE ASKED ALLAH FOR ONE, WE GOT THREE"
Sultan Kazcı, 30, stated that they struggled for years to have a child, saying, "We were asking Allah for one, and we got three. We went to different hospitals and saw various doctors. Finally, we consulted with our doctor Ferah and started IVF treatment. We are very pleased with our hospital and doctor."
"WE WILL TRY TO TAKE THE BEST CARE OF THEM"
Şeref Kazcı, expressing that becoming a father after 10 years is an indescribable feeling, said, "God granted us three children at once. The process might be a bit challenging with three children, but we will do our best to take care of them as well as we can. We named our children Mustafa Ali, Uras Pekir, and Ayşe Hüma. In a way, we have responded to our President's call for population growth. We thank God. Hopefully, they will grow up to be good children for their homeland and nation."
"TWO EMBRYOS WERE TRANSFERRED, PREGNANCY DEVELOPED INTO TRIPLETS"
Providing information about the treatment process, Op. Dr. Ferah Kazancı stated that the couple had been longing for a child for about 10 years, saying, "Our patients applied to us with the desire to have a child. They had previously received treatment at various centers. After necessary evaluations, we started IVF treatment. We achieved pregnancy on our first attempt. Normally, we transferred two embryos, but one of the embryos split internally, resulting in a triplet pregnancy."
Kazancı, noting that the pregnancy was closely monitored, said, "During this process, a condition known as pregnancy poisoning developed. Our patient had protein leakage and elevated enzyme levels. However, we took necessary precautions and administered treatments for the babies' lung development. We delivered the babies when the pregnancy reached 33 weeks and 5 days. This was a very good duration for triplet pregnancies. Thank God, the mother and babies are healthy and united."
"IVF CAN BE APPLIED FOR MANY DIFFERENT REASONS"
Kazancı, stating that IVF treatment can be applied not only for female-related issues but also for male factor conditions, said, "Various treatment methods are applied for low sperm count, blocked tubes, ovulation problems, or unexplained infertility cases. First, medication treatments and insemination methods are evaluated. If these methods do not yield results, IVF treatment is pursued. The process requires patience and compliance. Additionally, for male and female patients undergoing cancer treatment, we can perform egg and sperm freezing to enable them to have children in the future."
