In Adana, teacher Burcu Güven's 'tiny house' worth 1 million 650 thousand lira was stolen by unidentified individuals while she was vacationing in Bali. Güven, who filed a complaint, asked authorities for help in finding her portable home.
Burcu Güven, a preschool teacher in Adana, experienced a major shock while on vacation on Bali Island, Indonesia. Güven's 'tiny house' (portable home), worth 1,650,000 lira and parked on an empty lot in the Seyhan district, was stolen by unidentified individuals.
She Cut Her Vacation Short and Rushed to the Police
Burcu Güven, 37, who works at a private daycare in the city, went to Bali Island for a vacation. Güven learned via a phone call on June 7 that her portable home, located on an empty lot in Yenimahalle, Seyhan district, had been stolen. Upon receiving the distressing news from a friend, she cut her vacation short and immediately returned to Adana, filing a complaint about the suspects at the police station.
"Our Effort and Dreams Were Stolen"
Stating that they bought the structure with her family both to invest their savings and as a hobby, Burcu Güven asked authorities and citizens for help in finding the thieves.
Expressing that the portable home was a major investment for them, Güven recounted her grievance with these words:
"It was a very big investment for us. They stole and took away this structure, which represents all our effort and dreams. We ask authorities to catch the thieves as soon as possible. If anyone has seen the house or knows about the situation, please contact us or the police. We want to get our portable home back."
