WhatsApp has announced four new features to improve user experience. With the update, users will be able to create an account from an iPad without needing a phone, in-car use will be expanded via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, PDF files can be edited within the app, and songs played on Apple Music and Spotify can be shared on WhatsApp Status. The innovations will be rolled out to users gradually.

INDEPENDENT ACCOUNT CREATION ON IPAD
WhatsApp added a long-awaited feature to its iPad app, which was launched last year. With the new update, users can create a WhatsApp account directly on the iPad without needing to connect their phone and use the app independently.
IN-CAR USE BECOMES MORE PRACTICAL
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support have been expanded with the new update. Users can now listen to incoming messages hands-free, respond via voice, make calls, view call history, and access favorite contacts more quickly.
PDF DOCUMENTS CAN BE EDITED IN THE APP
Another innovation added to WhatsApp's web and desktop versions is PDF support. With this feature, powered by Adobe Acrobat infrastructure, users can open PDF files without downloading, take notes on documents, and highlight important sections.
SPOTIFY AND APPLE MUSIC SONGS CAN BE SHARED ON STATUS
With the new feature, users can directly share songs they listen to on Apple Music and Spotify on their WhatsApp Status. The company stated that this feature aims to make it easier for users to share the content they listen to with friends.
TO BE ROLLED OUT GRADUALLY
WhatsApp noted that the four announced features will not be available to all users simultaneously. The updates are expected to be gradually rolled out on Android, iOS, web, and desktop platforms in the coming days.
