In the Bulancak district of Giresun, 63-year-old İbrahim Patar and 15-year-old Yusuf Koç lost their lives while entering the water to save three people who were at risk of drowning in the sea. The rescued three individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment.

THEY JUMPED WITHOUT HESITATION
The incident occurred yesterday evening at the beach in Güzelyalı neighborhood. E.D. (39), Z.D. (10), and E.B. (15), who had entered the sea, began to drown. Yusuf Koç and İbrahim Patar noticed the situation and jumped into the sea to rescue them. However, Patar and Koç also started to sink and resurface. After a while, İbrahim Patar and Yusuf Koç disappeared from sight.
The other three people, pulled from the water by bystanders, were taken to hospital by ambulances.
ALL EFFORTS FAILED TO SAVE THEM
Yusuf Koç and İbrahim Patar were also recovered from the sea by the Coast Guard and dive teams. Despite all efforts by doctors at Bulancak State Hospital, Patar and Koç could not be saved. It was reported that E.D., Z.D., and E.B. are continuing treatment in hospitals.
