Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the Yalova-Armutlu road will be opened and travel time will be reduced from 60 minutes to 30 minutes. Within the scope of the 45-kilometer project, 6 tunnels, 4 viaducts, 5 bridges, and 3 junctions were constructed. The road is expected to provide annual savings of 260 million lira in time and fuel, and reduce carbon emissions by 900 tons.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced that the Yalova-Armutlu road will be opened to service. Thanks to the giant project, the travel time between the two points will decrease from 60 minutes to 30 minutes, while providing annual savings of 260 million lira to the national economy.

FLAWLESS TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE

The giant project, which will elevate the transportation standard on the Armutlu route, a hub for tourism, industry, and maritime in Yalova, to the highest level, has been completed. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu, in a written statement, detailed the technical work carried out on the 45-kilometer line connecting Yalova to Esenkoy and Armutlu.

Within the scope of the project:

  • 2.5 km of divided road with hot mix asphalt coating,
  • 10.7 km single road with hot mix asphalt coating forming the Esenkoy passage,
  • 31.8 km single road with surface coating were constructed.

Additionally, to overcome the challenging terrain conditions in the Esenkoy section of the road, 6 tunnels, 4 viaducts, 5 bridges, and 3 at-grade intersections were added to the route.

ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION OF 260 MILLION LIRA TO THE NATIONAL ECONOMY

Stating that citizens will gain a much safer, faster, and more comfortable travel opportunity with the opening of the Yalova-Armutlu road, Minister Uraloglu used the following expressions regarding the economic and environmental gains of the project: "We reduced the Yalova-Armutlu travel time from 60 minutes to 30 minutes. Our citizens will have a safer, faster, and more comfortable transportation opportunity. The project will not only increase transportation comfort but also make a significant contribution to the national economy. With the Yalova-Armutlu road, we will achieve annual savings of 240 million lira in time and 20 million lira in fuel, totaling 260 million lira. Additionally, we will reduce carbon emissions by 900 tons per year."
