In Istanbul, a 6-person network that lured women into prostitution by posting 'masseuse wanted' ads online and deceiving them with promises of high earnings was dismantled. It was revealed that the suspects took out high-amount loans in the victims' names, indebting them and thereby preventing them from fleeing.
Teams from the Morality Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate launched a comprehensive investigation into establishments found to be facilitating prostitution under the guise of massage parlors. The technical and physical surveillance conducted by the teams brought the network's dark side to light. It was determined that the suspects published fake job advertisements online stating, "Female masseuses wanted to work in a massage parlor," and deceived desperate women who applied for these ads with promises of high earnings, steering them into prostitution.
ECONOMIC TRAP WITH LOAN TRICK
The sinister method the gang used to keep the victimized women within the system was uncovered through police surveillance. It was established that the suspects used the identity information of the women they had ensnared to take out high-amount bank loans. It was understood that the gang members, who placed the women under heavy debt, prevented the victims from leaving them through this economic pressure. Additionally, it was found that the suspects used fake female photos on their websites to create misleading profiles to attract customers.
REFERRED TO COURT AFTER 3-MONTH SURVEILLANCE
After a meticulous three-month technical and physical surveillance process conducted by the Morality Bureau Directorate, the operation was initiated. Six suspects detained in simultaneous raids were brought to the Public Order Branch Directorate. Following the completion of their interrogation and procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse on charges of "encouraging prostitution, acting as an intermediary, or providing premises."
