In Düzce, 12 suspects were detained for providing unjust gains through 72 students by showing vocational high school students as if they were doing internships.

THEY SHOWED STUDENTS AS IF THEY WERE DOING INTERNSHIPS

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Düzce Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that vocational high school students were shown as if they were doing internships at companies, and unjust incentives, premiums, and internship fees were collected. In the research conducted based on the statements of 72 individuals, it was found that 29 of them were students registered at a course center operating in the Akçakoca district, and they shared their personal data, without their consent and knowledge, with a high school in Düzce for the purpose of registering them as 'interns' at different companies.

12 PEOPLE IN CUSTODY

It was also found that the information of the other 50 people was registered by a high school in Düzce, again without their consent, as 'interns' at different companies, and through this method, the relevant companies collected unjust incentives, premiums, and internship fees from the 72 people identified so far.

In an operation conducted in the morning hours regarding the issue, 12 people were detained on charges of qualified fraud, forgery of official documents, and unlawfully providing or obtaining personal data.

The investigation into the incident continues.
