THEY PUT ON THE LEASH AND TOOK IT AWAY ON A MOTORCYCLE
The incident occurred in the Özerli Neighborhood of Dörtyol district. Aleyna Çetil, who lives in the neighborhood, was given a Golden Retriever as a gift by her fiancé 2 years ago. The dog, which the family named Tomi, soon became part of the home. In recent days, during the evening hours, the family noticed that Tomi was not at home and examined the surrounding security cameras. In the footage, one of the 2 people arriving by motorcycle was seen checking the surroundings, then putting the leash he took from his pocket on the dog, and then taking Tomi onto the motorcycle and leaving the scene. After the incident, the family filed a complaint with police teams and asked for help in finding their dog. Following the investigations by police teams, the stolen Tomi was found and returned to the family. The Çetil family, who were happy to be reunited with their stolen dog, thanked the police teams who helped find Tomi. Meanwhile, it drew attention that the 2 thieves who stole the dog defended themselves by saying that they had taken and carried the dog away thinking it resembled their own dog.

Yakup Çetil, expressing that they were happy to be reunited with Tomi, said, "Our dog Tomi has come back. As a family, we are happy and at peace. Our children are smiling too. The thieves who stole the dog said they took the dog by mistake, but I do not think that is true. Thank goodness the police teams helped. They handled the necessary procedures and took care of it. We were sad a few days ago, but now we are very well. May God be pleased with everyone."
