THEY FLED TO SAKARYA WITH A STOLEN LICENSE PLATE

In the joint work of the Public Order Branch Directorate and the Intelligence Branch Directorate, it was determined that the suspects had attached to the car they used while fleeing a license plate they had stolen from another vehicle before the incident. As a result of the follow-up, it was determined that the suspects fled to Sakarya after the incident. After determining where the suspects were staying in Sakarya, an operation was organized in which Special Operations police also took part. In the operation, the suspects K.F.E. (27), A.K.Ç. (37), A.G. (30), Y.D. (42) and F.E.K. (32) were detained.

HE TURNED OUT TO BE THE SON OF A FORMER CLUB PRESIDENT

It emerged that K.F.E., one of the suspects brought to the Public Order Branch Directorate for questioning, was the son of Y.E., a former president of a sports club in Istanbul. It was stated that the car with the changed license plate used by K.F.E. in the incident was also registered in his mother's name.

THEY MAY HAVE SHOT AT THE WRONG OFFICE

While the investigation into the incident continues, it was determined that the currency exchange office that was shot at had not received threats before, but another currency exchange office belonging to O.G. next door owed a large amount of debt to the market and had been constantly receiving threats. For this reason, the possibility that the suspects shot at the wrong currency exchange office is being evaluated. The 5 suspects, whose procedures at the police were completed and who exercised their right to remain silent, were arrested by the court they were brought before and sent to prison.
