It has been reported that three foreign nationals who displayed inappropriate behavior and recorded videos at the Martyrs' Lane in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, have been detained and an investigation has been launched against them.

Police in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, took action against foreign nationals who mocked martyrdom by making inappropriate gestures at the Martyrs' Lane and uploading the footage to social media.

In a statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was reported that 3 foreign nationals were detained yesterday for displaying inappropriate behavior and filming in front of the martyr graves.

INVESTIGATION INITIATED

It was noted that an investigation was opened against the individuals in question under Article 245 of the Azerbaijani Penal Code (Acts of insult on graves), who were identified as having come to Baku as tourists for 5 days on August 13 and published the video they filmed on social media. Authorities stated that the investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
