48-year-old Dilek Karabatak died after being hit by a freight train in the Söke district of Aydın. The incident occurred in the morning hours in Sazlı Neighborhood. Karabatak, who was stated to have been helping a person taking measurements on the railway, was seriously injured after being run over by the train and could not be saved despite the intervention of health teams. The incident took place in the Sazlı Neighborhood in the morning hours. According to the information obtained, a freight train struck Dilek Karabatak (48), who was reportedly helping a person taking measurements on the railway track. The woman, who remained under the train due to the impact, was seriously injured. Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region upon a report made to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT
Health teams arriving at the scene in a short time determined that Karabatak had lost her life during their checks. While gendarmerie teams took security measures in the area, Karabatak's lifeless body was taken to the hospital morgue after the crime scene investigation work. Train services in the region were suspended for a while due to the accident, and services returned to normal after the work was completed.
