Fenerbahçe Club Presidential Candidate Aziz Yıldırım came to Şanlıurfa to visit the Şanlıurfa Fenerbahçe Association before the extraordinary general assembly. Saying 'I am coming to stop this course of Fenerbahçe,' Aziz Yıldırım stated that they would sign two strikers.
Aziz Yildirim, who announced his candidacy for the presidency ahead of Fenerbahce's Extraordinary General Assembly to be held on June 6-7, arrived at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport in the morning.
ECSTATIC WELCOME FOR AZIZ YILDIRIM IN ŞANLIURFA
Yildirim was greeted at the airport by Mahmut Kızıldemir, President of the Şanlıurfa Fenerbahce Association, and Haçım İzol, former President of Şanlıurfaspor. Fans showed great interest and affection for Yildirim. After the airport, Aziz Yildirim went to the Şanlıurfa Fenerbahce Association, where he held a private meeting with board members. Later, Yildirim gathered with association members and fans in a conference hall and made assessments regarding the current agenda. Due to the intense participation, the hall was crowded and hot, causing Yildirim to sweat frequently, and he was seen constantly holding a napkin.
'I AM COMING TO STOP THIS TREND'
In his speech, Aziz Yildirim addressed Fenerbahce's situation in recent years, stating that becoming president again would not change his own life, but he is a candidate to change the club's current trajectory.
Yildirim spoke as follows:
“I honestly say, I am coming to stop this 12-year trend of Fenerbahce. I believe in myself, I believe in my friends. If we cannot stop it, no one can, be aware. A strong squad, strong management, and a strong community will make this happen. We started winning championships in the 2000s, becoming champions 5 times in 10 years.”
'I AM THE MAN TO DO THIS'
Emphasizing the importance of fan unity, Yildirim stated that the divisions in the stands must end, saying, “There are 20-25 groups. One says one thing, another says something else. These need to be integrated. I am the man to do this.”
TWO STRIKER TRANSFERS
Yildirim stated that during his presidency, they brought significant investments to Fenerbahce, and argued that no new investments were made in the club after his administration. Highlighting his 20 years of experience at Fenerbahce, Yildirim said they set out with the goal of championship together with his team. Aziz Yildirim also announced that they have transfer plans to strengthen the team, stating they will make two striker transfers. However, he noted that the date for announcing the transfers has not yet been finalized.
