Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced that some rail system lines in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir will provide free service on July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Additionally, the free service on the Halkali-Arnavutkoy Metro Line will continue until July 31.

Uraloglu, in his written statement, indicated that urban rail system lines under the Ministry in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir will be free on July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, and stated, "Marmaray, Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, and Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Arnavutköy Metro in Istanbul, Başkentray in Ankara, and İZBAN in Izmir will provide free service. Our mentioned lines will offer a fast, easy, and economical transportation opportunity to all our citizens throughout the day."

Reminding that the free transportation application launched for the Halkalı-Arnavutköy Metro Line continues, Uraloglu noted that the application is valid from June 20 to July 31 (these dates inclusive).
