U.S. President Donald Trump announced that all 67 people on board the plane and helicopter involved in the accident in Washington have died. While Trump stated that they do not know the cause of the accident, he said, "We don't know what caused the collision, but I have some ideas."
The plane and helicopter collided near Ronald Reagan Airport close to Washington, D.C., and fell into the Potomac River. After the accident, U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the nation, announcing that all 67 people on board the plane and helicopter had died.
"WE DON'T KNOW THE REASON, BUT I HAVE SOME IDEAS"
In his address to the nation, Trump stated, "I am speaking to you on a painful day. We do not know what caused the collision, but I have some ideas. I listened to the cockpit recordings, it was really frightening," he said.
Trump also announced that the military would conduct a detailed investigation into the plane crash in Washington, D.C. The U.S. President noted that the helicopter pilot was able to see the plane and had a chance to maneuver, but did not take any action.
