Trump announced his decision on Iran: I have no immediate plan to attack

US President Donald Trump announced that there are no urgent plans for a new attack on Iran, but that they are ready for military action if necessary. Speaking about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's signals regarding an attack, Trump said, "I am ready, we are ready. We are ready to take action if necessary, but there may be no reason for it." Claiming that his relations with Iran are "excellent," Trump stated that talks regarding the enriched uranium stockpile are continuing.

As the U.S. congressional midterm election process continues, U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking by phone to the Financial Times (FT), made statements on the Iran agenda.

Trump, stating that his relations with Tehran were “excellent,” said the U.S. had no “urgent plan” to attack Iran.

Emphasizing that he was ready for more war if necessary, U.S. President Trump implied that he was “pleased” with the current state of tensions between himself and Iran.

NETANYAHU'S ATTACK SIGNAL

When asked about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's strong hints this week that an attack would occur, Trump assessed: “I am ready, we are ready. We are ready to act if necessary, but there may be no reason for it.”

“THE AMOUNT OF OIL PASSING THROUGH THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ HAS EXCEEDED THE PRE-WAR LEVEL”

Expressing satisfaction with the results of economic pressure on Iran, Trump argued that the U.S. was beginning to get the results it wanted from Tehran. “It seems we are getting everything we want,” said Trump, claiming that the amount of oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz had exceeded the pre-war level.

Stating that the U.S. blockade on Iranian ports was straining the country's economy, Trump described the current picture as “a bright situation.” Trump also claimed that energy prices would fall rapidly after the midterm elections.

“WE ARE NOT REALLY AT WAR WITH IRAN”

Stating that he did not see the tension between the U.S. and Iran as a large-scale war, Trump recalled previous attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. Trump said, “We are not really in a war. We hit them with B-2 bombers and eliminated their nuclear potential. Then we hit them again.”

Arguing that there had not been a real war with Iran for about six months, Trump stated that he did not compare the current situation to the war in Ukraine or to world wars.

450-KILOGRAM URANIUM STOCK ON THE TABLE

Trump announced that indirect talks were continuing regarding the future of Iran's approximately 450-kilogram stock of enriched uranium. Stating that the uranium was located under hundreds of tons of rock, Trump said, “I cannot say that I am pleased that it is there.”

Conveying that the stock in question was one of the main agenda items in the contacts with Tehran, Trump stated that it was not yet clear how the talks would result.
