SCENES USING THE SHAMAN DRUM DREW REACTIONS
The series "Organized Affairs: Treasure of Karun," both written by and starring Yılmaz Erdoğan, became the focus of criticism because of some scenes. In the series, associating the shaman drum, which has an important place in Turkish and Central Asian traditions, with groups trafficking banned substances brought about debates over how cultural values are represented.

YILMAZ ERDOĞAN MET WITH GÖK-DER EXECUTIVES
After the reactions, Yılmaz Erdoğan met with GÖK-DER executives and made a written statement after the meeting. The famous actor said that they did not sufficiently know the spiritual importance of the shaman drum and that they had no ill intent in preparing the scenes.
Erdoğan included the following statements in his announcement:
"First of all, I thank the GÖK-DER executives who responded to our call and were our guests. During the meeting, I told them that we did not know that the sensitivity regarding the shaman drum, using it as a musical instrument, harmed its sanctity, and therefore we had no ulterior motive when using it. I told them that I have always respected the ancient culture, history, faith, and national and spiritual values of the Turkish nation in their entirety, without accepting any exception, that I have expressed this approach in my works for years, and that from our perspective the opposite cannot be considered. However, ultimately, accepting that the situation in question was a carelessness based on a lack of information, I conveyed my regret to them and, on behalf of my team and to them personally, our apology to our viewers whose feelings we unintentionally hurt. I am very pleased with the meeting based on mutual understanding. Announced to the public with love."
