US President Donald Trump, during an NBC News broadcast, angrily cut short an interview when asked for evidence regarding allegations of fraud in the California elections. Insulting host Kristen Welker by saying, "You're either dishonest or stupid," Trump also targeted ABC, CBS, and CNN.
US President Donald Trump abruptly ended an interview on NBC News' prestigious "Meet the Press" program, where he was answering questions from Kristen Welker, and left the broadcast. When the host asked for evidence regarding his claims that the California elections were rigged, Trump became enraged and made harsh accusations against Welker and the American media.
"YOU'RE EITHER IMMORAL OR STUPID"
During the interview, Welker reminded Trump that no evidence had been presented regarding the allegations about the California elections, which immediately raised the tension. Continuing to defend his claims, Trump turned to the host and said:
"You're either immoral or stupid. You're immoral. So are ABC, CBS, and CNN. I'm facing a one-sided, corrupt media network. That's enough, let's end it here."
"I GAVE YOU ENOUGH TIME," HE SAID AND LEFT
In response to Welker's efforts to continue the broadcast by saying, "I came all the way to Wisconsin for this interview," Trump referenced the rainy weather, stating, "I've been sitting in the rain for an hour just for you, I gave you enough time," then removed his microphone and left the premises.
WARNING OF "MILITARY" INTERVENTION IN IRAN
Before the interview was cut short, Trump also delivered critical messages regarding foreign policy and the defense budget. Defending the $1.8 billion "anti-armament" fund, which his administration was previously reported to have backed down on publicly, Trump issued a harsh military warning to Iran.
Stating that the US would step in if Iranian leaders do not agree to destroy military materials in the regional conflicts, Trump said, "We would militarily eliminate Iran's highly enriched uranium very harshly," clearly articulating Washington's military options on the table.
