It was claimed that the suspects who carried out an armed attack on the Otokoç gallery in Antalya recorded the moment of the act with a mobile phone and shared it on social media. In the images, a person referencing Rahmi Koç's anecdote, against whom an investigation was launched on charges of "publicly degrading a segment of the public," was seen threatening by saying, "If the disrespect towards Kurdish women continues, these actions will not end in Turkey." Meanwhile, the 3 suspects who carried out the attack were apprehended by security forces.

Following the armed attack on the Otokoç General Directorate in Maltepe this morning in Istanbul, another attack was carried out in Antalya.

GUNFIRE OPENED

Gunfire was opened at the Otokoç car dealership in the Kepez district at 15:30. The assailants fled after opening fire. Employees who heard the gunshots went outside. While bullets hit the building, police and health teams were dispatched to the address upon a report to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

SECURITY MEASURES TAKEN

Police teams took security measures in the area. It was stated that the Crime Scene Investigation teams were continuing their work at the workplace. Three bullet casings were found at the scene.

The moments when the suspects who carried out the attack escaped were captured on security camera. Police teams launched an operation to catch the fleeing suspect based on the description given by eyewitnesses.

In a statement from the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, it was stated: "An investigation was immediately launched by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident of gunfire at the Ford Otokoç authorized service in the Altınova Sinan Neighborhood of Kepez district. Within the scope of the ongoing investigation, 2 suspects considered to be connected to the incident have been apprehended, and the investigation procedures are being meticulously continued."

Meanwhile, according to journalist Emrullah Erdinç, the assailants recorded the moment of the attack with their mobile phone cameras and shared it on social media. In the footage, one of the attackers was seen using the phrases, "Rahmi Koç, greetings from brother Serdar E. If the disrespect towards Kurdish women continues, these actions in Turkey will not end."

THE ATTACK IN ISTANBUL

In the morning, an armed attack was carried out on the Otokoç General Directorate, part of Koç Holding, in Maltepe, Istanbul. While many bullets hit the building, police caught and detained two fleeing suspects.
