US President Donald Trump, stating that relations with Venezuela are very good, said that the country could become the 51st state of the US in the future. Expressing that they buy a significant amount of oil from Venezuela, Trump said, "Let's hold a gubernatorial election instead of a presidential one." Claiming that the war with Iran will also end soon, Trump stated that under the same conditions he would decide to attack Iran again, and claimed that fuel prices would fall in a short time.

US President Donald Trump made statements on foreign policy at an election rally held in Texas ahead of the congressional midterm elections to be held on November 3.

Stating that they have a "wonderful" relationship with Venezuela, Trump said they buy a large amount of oil from this country. He also mentioned that some American oil companies have made serious investments in Venezuela.

Expressing that he thinks Venezuela will become a prosperous country in the near future, Trump suggested that the country could join the US.

"IT COULD BECOME OUR 51ST STATE"

Arguing that Venezuela could become the 51st state of the US, Trump used the following statements: "Perhaps in the near future this place will become our 51st state. It is possible, let's make it happen, let's make it our 51st state. Let's hold a gubernatorial election instead of a presidential election."

"THE WAR WITH IRAN WILL END SOON"

Also touching on the ongoing war with Iran in his speech, Trump claimed that the conflicts were started not by the US but by Iran in 1978. He argued that Iranian administrations were responsible for the deaths of many American soldiers.

Stating that keeping oil and fuel prices high in exchange for Iran not having nuclear weapons is "a rather small price," Trump suggested that the war would end within a short time.

Trump said, "This war will end soon; they have no army, navy, or anything else left."

HE MADE A PROMISE ABOUT FUEL PRICES

Saying that fuel prices in the US will fall rapidly soon, Trump stated that he does not expect his Iran policy to negatively affect the congressional midterm elections to be held on November 3.

Also defending the decision to attack Iran, Trump stated that under the same conditions he would make a similar decision again.

"I WOULD ATTACK IRAN AGAIN"

Recounting a question asked to him about the attacks on Iran, Trump used the following statements:

"Yesterday someone was asking; 'If you had to do it again, would you still attack Iran?' And I said; 'Absolutely, it was one of the best things I have done.'"
