Two separate investigations conducted by the Competition Authority regarding BİM have been concluded. In one of the investigations, the company was not penalized, while in the other, which concluded with a settlement, a decision was made to pay 67.2 million TL. If the early payment discount is utilized, the amount will decrease to 50.4 million TL.
BİM United Stores Inc. announced to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that two separate investigations conducted by the Competition Authority have been completed. In one of the investigations, it was decided that no penalty was necessary for the company, while the other process concluded with a settlement. Within the scope of the settlement, a payment of 67.2 million TL will be made.
In the statement made by the company to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was announced that the processes regarding two separate investigations conducted by the Competition Authority have been concluded.
NO PENALTY IN THE FIRST INVESTIGATION
In one of the investigations, it was decided that the company did not violate Article 4 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition. Therefore, no administrative fine was deemed necessary within the scope of that file.
THE OTHER INVESTIGATION CONCLUDED WITH A SETTLEMENT
In the other investigation, the settlement process conducted before the Competition Authority was completed. The company reminded that, in line with the Board of Directors' decision dated March 17, 2026, the disclosure of insider information to the public was postponed in order to protect the legitimate interests of investors.
In line with the Competition Board's decision numbered 25-07/165-M, it was decided to conclude the investigation through the settlement procedure.
A PAYMENT OF 67.2 MILLION TL WILL BE MADE
The amount to be paid within the scope of the settlement was determined as 67 million 217 thousand 829.62 TL. If the 25% early payment discount is utilized, this figure will decrease to 50 million 413 thousand 372 TL. Thus, the process regarding the two separate investigations conducted by the Competition Authority has been completed.
