The Competition Authority imposed a total administrative fine of approximately 26 million TL on Erikli and Pınar Su, which operate in the packaged water sector. In the decision, Erikli Su was fined 21.1 million TL, while Pınar Su was fined 4.88 million TL. It was stated that the two companies engaged in anti-competitive information exchange.
The Competition Authority imposed an administrative fine in the investigation regarding Erikli and Pınar Water.
The firms operating in the packaged water sector stated that they violated the relevant article of the law through the exchange of competition-sensitive information regarding pricing.
The statement made by the Competition Authority is as follows:
The investigation conducted to determine whether Erikli Water and Beverage Industry and Trade Inc. (ERIKLI) and Pınar Water and Beverage Industry and Trade Inc. (PINAR WATER) violated Article 4 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition (Law No. 4054) was completed in accordance with the decision of the Competition Authority (Board) dated 21.09.2023 and numbered 23-45/850-M(2).
A TOTAL OF 26 MILLION FINE IMPOSED ON TWO FIRMS
In the meeting of the Board dated 24.04.2025, it was decided that an administrative fine should be imposed on both enterprises due to the violation of Article 4 of Law No. 4054 by exchanging competition-restrictive information such as future sales prices.
In this context, an administrative fine of 21,106,469.63 TL was imposed on ERIKLI, and 4,877,401.33 TL was imposed on PINAR WATER.
