Diyarbakır Deputy Governor Yusuf Melikşah Aydın intervened in the mistreatment a father and son were subjected to because of a seating dispute at the stadium, ensuring they could watch the match in an appropriate place.

In the 10th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Amed Sportif Faaliyetler hosted Eyüpspor. The home team left the field with a 5-1 score.

HE SAW IT DURING THE STAND INSPECTION AND TOOK THE FATHER AND SON WITH HIM

Deputy Governor Yusuf Melikşah Aydın, during his inspections at the stadium, saw that a father and son were subjected to the ugly treatment of other fans. Aydın intervened in the situation and hosted the father and son in an appropriate place.

CHILDREN'S PEACE BEFORE THE SCORE

In a post on his social media account, Aydın stated that rather than today's victory and score, he wanted to draw attention to an issue that should make everyone think deeply.

Aydın noted that during the stand inspections he carried out during the match, he personally witnessed the ugly treatment to which a father and his child were subjected by a few inconsiderate people solely because of a seating dispute, and said: "This picture, created by people who breathe the same air of the same city and unite behind the same color, for a child and his father, suits neither our humanity nor the spirit of our ancient city. Although today we intervened and hosted our child in a place where he could watch the match in peace, the real issue is this: No victory achieved in a stand where children cannot laugh and do not feel safe has any meaning. If we had the means, we would fill all those stands with the smiles of our children. Such isolated incidents, of course, cannot be attributed to all stands; however, especially regarding our children and families, everyone must be much more sensitive and much more inclusive. While congratulating our city on the victory, I invite all my fellow citizens to join hands for 'clean stands' where we will talk not about the score, but about peace and sportsmanship," he said.
