Ukraine has launched a massive operation that will completely change the balance of power in the Sea of Azov, following the Black Sea. The Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces carried out one of the largest kamikaze UAV operations in history against Russia's maritime logistics network, which supplies occupied territories and the front line. According to initial reports, nearly 10 Russian vessels were directly targeted in the operation.
The Ukrainian army carried out a large-scale kamikaze Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) operation targeting Russian tanker and cargo ships sailing in the Sea of Azov. Operational footage shared by the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) revealed the heavy blow dealt to Russian logistics lines.
CONSECUTIVE EXPLOSIONS OCCURRED
The operation began with the coordinated movement of numerous kamikaze unmanned surface vehicles infiltrating under the cover of night. Night vision camera recordings shared by military sources captured moment by moment the fast-moving drones ramming into Russian tankers consecutively, causing massive explosions.
NEARLY 10 SHIPS TARGETED
According to initial reports, nearly 10 Russian ships were directly targeted in the operation. It is reported that the ships sustained very heavy damage following the impact of the kamikaze vehicles. Ukrainian forces achieved a high hit rate in this attack aimed at disrupting Russia's supply chain in the region.
POST-ATTACK DAMAGE VIEWED FROM AIR
Reconnaissance flights conducted in the area immediately after the attack revealed the operation's success. In the recorded damage assessment footage, it was clearly observed that the targeted tanker and cargo ships were engulfed in flames and were heavily damaged, thus rendered inoperative.
MAJOR BLOW TO RUSSIAN LOGISTICS
This mass operation, aimed at paralyzing Russian military and logistic activity in the Sea of Azov, once again demonstrated the new level Ukraine has achieved in unmanned systems. It is stated that the extent of damage in the area and the number of sunken ships may increase.
