The presidential election at the 128th Ordinary General Assembly, held to determine the administration of the Istanbul Bar Association for the 2026-2028 term, has concluded. In the election, in which 9 candidates competed at the Haliç Congress Center, Ümit Kocasakal, who received 9,548 votes according to unofficial results, became the new president of the Istanbul Bar Association. Incumbent president İbrahim Kaboğlu placed second with 6,607 votes, while Atakan Selanik came third with 3,546 votes. In his first statement after the results, Kocasakal said, "The Istanbul Bar Association is back."
