Possible negotiations between the US and Iran in Pakistan have reached an impasse before they could even begin. A White House official stated that US Vice President J.D. Vance canceled his trip to Islamabad due to Iran's refusal to participate in the talks. Vance will remain at the White House today.

The critical talks planned to be held between the US and Iran with Pakistan's mediation have stalled before starting due to the Tehran administration's refusal to sit at the table. A White House official announced that US Vice President J.D. Vance canceled his Islamabad trip and will remain in Washington today after Iran rejected the negotiation proposal.

CEASEFIRE EXTENSION POSSIBILITY WEAKENED

The failure of this diplomatic initiative, which was expected to reduce tension between the two countries, has also cast uncertainty over the future of the temporary ceasefire set to expire tomorrow in the region.

TRUMP: WE ARE IN A STRONG POSITION

Speaking to CNBC, Trump referred to a possible agreement with Iran, saying, "We will make a good deal with Iran, our blockade has been successful." Stating that the US has an advantage in the negotiation process, Trump expressed that he is not warm to extending the ceasefire.

"THEY HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS"

In his statement, Trump also touched upon military operations against Iran, saying, "They have no other options. We destroyed their navy. We destroyed their air force. We killed their leaders. We control the Strait of Hormuz."

IRAN'S REBUFF: WE HAVE PREPARED TO PLAY NEW CARDS

After Trump's statements, a response came from the Iranian side: "By imposing a blockade and violating the ceasefire, Trump is trying to turn this negotiation table – in his imagination – into a surrender table or justify renewed belligerence. We do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats, and in the last two weeks, we have prepared to play new cards on the battlefield."
