MULTIPLE LOCATIONS IN IRAN TARGETED SIMULTANEOUSLY
According to information in the Iranian press, explosions occurred near the military zone south of Tabriz. Successive explosion sounds were also heard in the cities of Mahshahr and Behbehan in Khuzestan province.
Iranian state television announced that at least four explosion sounds were heard in the city of Chabahar in Sistan and Baluchestan province. The report also included information that US warplanes were flying in the area during the attacks. It was reported that an explosion also occurred in the city of Konarak in the same province.
The city of Sirik in Hormozgan province, two areas near Bushehr, and the city of Kangavar in Kermanshah province were also reported to be targets of missile and aerial attacks.
AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS ACTIVATED IN TEHRAN
Following the attacks, an alert was issued in the capital, Tehran. Fars News Agency announced that air defense systems were activated in eastern Tehran and that intense fire was opened in the sky.
