In a breathtaking operation targeting usury and robbery crimes in the Yenişehir district of Bursa, 6 suspects were caught red-handed. It was revealed that the suspects assaulted citizens to whom they lent money and threatened them with death.

Under the coordination of the Yenişehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a large-scale operation against usury and robbery crimes was carried out by teams from the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate.

SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION CARRIED OUT

Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that the suspects lent money at high interest to citizens experiencing financial difficulties, assaulted those who could not pay, and intimidated them with death threats. The suspects, who made illicit gains through this method, were tracked step by step through technical and physical surveillance.

Acting on the evidence obtained, the teams carried out a simultaneous operation on May 5, 2026, with the support of special operations police. During the operation, 6 suspects named B.B., M.T., V.E., S.B., H.B., and B.A. were detained.

6 SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY

During searches at the suspects' addresses, 1 unlicensed pistol, 8 rounds of ammunition, and 2 pump-action shotguns were seized. Additionally, numerous promissory notes believed to have been forcibly signed by victims, and 2 notebooks were confiscated.

While the procedures for the 6 detained suspects continue at the police station, a statement from the Bursa Provincial Police Department emphasized that the fight against organized crime groups will continue with determination.
