The fire occurred around 10:00 AM on Çelikbaş Street in Orta Mahalle, affiliated with the Çay district.

The homeowner Ali Ç., who came to the street after learning about the fire, reacted to his tenant Fatma K. when he saw his house damaged by the flames.
Ali Ç. blamed his tenant, saying, "The fire broke out because of you."
Fatma K., who lost her house and belongings in the fire, responded to the homeowner's words: "Do I have any other place to live? Why would I start a fire?"
Since the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, an investigation into the incident continues.
"IF WE HAD BEEN A BIT LATE, WE COULD HAVE BURNED"
Describing her terrifying moments, Fatma K. said she was at home with her two children when the fire started.
Stating that they went outside quickly after noticing the smoke, Fatma K. said, "The house was filled with smoke. We went outside and I shouted 'there's a fire.' Shortly after, the flames engulfed the house. We barely got ourselves out. If we had been a bit late, we could have burned."
Fatma K. also stated that her husband was out of town for work at the time of the incident.
"ALL OUR BELONGINGS WERE DESTROYED"
With the intervention of the firefighters, the flames were brought under control and extinguished. However, extensive material damage occurred after the fire.
