"SHE WAS TELLING HER FATHER TO 'SAVE HER'"

Intizar Hınç, a resident of the neighborhood, said, "We went to see when we heard the noise. I don't know how she fell. When we got there, they said, 'The woman fell, she fell.' The woman was lying there sideways. I saw her then. She was telling her father, 'Save her, save her, dad, save her.' Her father was not there, he came later. I was looking from the window. After that, I went out. But I didn't have the courage to go and check on the woman. The children were with their father-in-law. They were there too, they came. The child was left there. They had a fight at home. I asked my son Bilal. He said, 'What happened?' They fought like this. When the women screamed, we went outside. We had no idea. He drinks, drinks, loses control. He also had a report, I guess," he said.

"THERE WAS BLOOD ON THE STAIRS"

Mustafa Ünsal, the couple's upstairs neighbor, said, "Honestly, we heard noise, they were arguing that evening. We even called the police, 112. We said, 'Come.' By the time the police arrived, it had already happened. He pulled the door hard and hit it. Merve was going down the stairs, saying, 'Don't do this to me, don't do this to me.' We didn't understand. But there was a lot of blood on the stairs. Her hands were bloody. It seems he hit her. We couldn't see if the woman jumped or if he pushed her. We saw the woman lying motionless on the ground," he said.

Ünsal added, "She came to her head, screaming wildly. Merve was saying, 'Do this to me, don't do this to me, don't leave me.' 10-15-20 minutes passed, the police came, the ambulance came. They put her in the ambulance and took her away," he said.

"HE HAD BEEN IN CUSTODY 1-2 MONTHS AGO"

Ünsal also shared what he had heard before, saying, "He had a history of incidents. Just a month or two ago, there had been a similar fight. We had called the police again. The police came and took him away; he had stayed in custody for about 3 days. From what we heard, he had a lot of previous offenses. He was a psychopath. It's a shame for the poor woman. They had a baby too. That evening, she was at her father-in-law's, and the baby was left there; they had a fight. The woman came out, followed him. They continued at home. That's the situation," he said.

Ünsal also recounted what the landlord said about the house, "They had already ransacked the house. The television was broken, the furniture was turned upside down. We didn't see it. Later, the landlord came, and we heard it from him. The condition of the furniture, there were glass shards inside the house. The situation is like this," he said.
